I expect 2002 to be a better year than last year. I think the first small signs of recovery are already there and they will become more discernible in the second quarter of 2002 as it will take a bit more time to become visible. We can see clear signs of recovery in industries like cement and paper already.

The reason for optimism.
The primary reason is that the Government is speeding up the implementation of reforms and projects. The activity in government has quickened even though it may not be noticeable. For instance, it is clear that it will push through labour reforms.
