Fiserv to set up service delivery centre

Fiserv India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiserv Inc, a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest providers of information technology services to the financial services industry worldwide, today announced that it is opening a new delivery centre in Pune.
 
The centre will house 1,000 people in the next one year and will be its second centre following the one in NOIDA which employs 1,100 people. The plan for India, Arun Maheshwari, President, Fiserv Global Services Group said, "Is to invest $50 million over the next five years and employ 5,000 people by 2009."
 
The Pune centre is being set up in a 100,000 square foot area in Kalyani Nagar area, with the capacity to house 1,500 professionals.
 
It will provide IT, quality assurance testing, BPO, and infrastructure services to customers in various financial services domains including banking, credit unions, insurance, payments, credit cards, investments, lending and healthcare.
 
The new centre will also enhance Fiserv India?s business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.
