Five entities up stake in Madras Cements

Madras Cements today said five entities, including two existing shareholders, have increased their stake in the company by 0.36% to 5.11%.

In a stock exchange disclosure, Madras Cements said that the entities had bought 8,50,000 shares on July 27 through open market transactions.

The entities - Nemish S Shah, Nemish S Shah HUF, Rekha Shah, Sudarshan Securities and Sudarshan Capital Services used to hold 4.75% stake in the firm, as on June-end.

Sudarshan Securities and Sudarshan Capital Services, as on June-end, held 2.03% and 1.09% stakes, respectively.

Currently, these entities collectively hold 12.1 million shares in Madras Cements.

The scrip of the company closed at Rs 92.5 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 3.24% from its previous close.
