Ford, Changan in talks to expand India biz

Ford Motor and Chongqing Changan Automobile were in talks to expand their partnership in India, Chongqing Changan President Zhang Baolin said. The two automakers were considering all types of vehicles to be sold in India, he said.

JLR looks for China partner
Tata Motors’ Jaguar Land Rover unit was in negotiations with a possible partner in China, Group Chief Executive Carl-Peter Forster said on the sidelines of a forum today in Shanghai. No time frame had been set for a pact, he said.

Forster added the company was seeing a lot of interest overseas in its small Nano car but had yet to decide on likely export markets. “We have a lot of interest, certainly more interest than we can satisfy, from outside India,” Forster said.
