Ford India, today said it has appointed N Raja as its Vice-President, Sales, effective from April 1.
Raja reports directly to Nigel Wark, Ford India's Executive Director, Marketing, Sales & Service, and replaces Timothy Tucker, who was appointed President & CEO, Ford Japan, a press release issued here said.
In his new role, Raja is responsible for delivering the sales and revenue targets for Ford products in the dynamic Indian automotive market, the release said. Prior to this appointment, Raja served as General Manager of Sales, responsible for national sales and field operations across India.
Raja has played a key role in sales planning for Ford line-up and contributed significantly to the recent and successful launch of Ford Figo, developing the Ford India and authorised Ford dealership sales teams pan-India to help bring Figo to its fast-growing customer-base, it said.
"Raja's leadership, rich experience and knowledge of the Indian car market are great assets to Ford India and will help us continue to build our competitive position in the market," Wark said.
