Car-maker Ford India today reported a 2.8% decline in its total sales during February at 10,424 units.
The company had sold 10,726 units in the corresponding month last year, Ford India said in a statement.
Ford's domestic sales declined by 13.5% to 8,035 units in the reporting quarter from 9,293 units in the same month last year, it added.
Its overseas shipments, however, increased by 66.7% to 2,389 units in February this year from 1,433 units in the same month last year.
"We have embarked on an exciting growth path in 2012 as evident with our 10,000 plus sales for the second month in a row and addition of 45 dealerships across India in February," Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said.
