Ford launches Road Assistance Service in four cities

Car manufacturer Ford India today announced the launch of Roadside Assistance Service (RSA) in Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore and Jaipur taking the total number of cities having such services to 13.      

The RSA initiative is a programme launched  by Ford India to provide its customers a hassle-free driving experience in and around the city, the company said in a statement.       

The company earlier launched these services in nine major cities including metros and with the addition of four more cities, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Coimbatore, the total number of cities having such facilities has gone up to 13.    

"Now with the launch of RSA services in Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Coimbatore, Ford owners in these cities have the reassurance that they can call upon this premium service for immediate assistance round the clock", Ford said in a statement.      

 

Ford Service Roadside Assistance programme comprises a fleet of two types of vehicles including flat bed trucks and emergency response motorcycles.      

The flat bed trucks allows consumers to get vehicle carried to the service centre and get them repaired without the accompanying damages generally experienced during the towing of cars, the company said.      

"The customers have been very complementary about the support they have received, in particular the concept of the car beings transported on a truck and not towed. With the third phase, we will cover around 60 per cent of Ford car owners in the country," Ford India Executive Director Marketing and Sales Nigel E Wark said.
