Car maker Ford India today reported about a three-fold increase in its November sales at 7,504 units on the back of its latest small car Figo garnering a good response.
The company sold 2,520 units in the same month last year, Ford India said in a statement today.
"This has been an outstanding year for Ford in India. It is also extremely encouraging to see the Figo resonating with so many Indian customers and gratifying to see them on India's roads," Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said.
The company has sold 58,000 units of Ford Figo till November, since its launch in March this year. Apart from Figo, the company also sells models such as the Ikon, Fiesta and Endeavour in India.
From January to November, 2010, the company has sold 79,586 units, compared to a total of 27,906 units for the same period last year, the statement added.
