Real estate company, Nitesh Estates, today appointed Jagdish Capoor as independent non-executive director. Capoor, the former chairman of HDFC Bank, will be director on Nitesh Estates' board from today (March 14, 2013).
Capoor brings with him a vast experience in banking and financial services sector, having worked at the Reserve Bank of India for 39 years, retired as Deputy Governor of the apex bank besides having served as the Chairman of HDFC Bank.
Capoor’s other assignments include serving on the Board of Directors of the Indian Hotels, Non Executive Chairman of Manappuram Finance, Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. He also held roles on Academic Advisory Board of Asian Business School and as a Chairman of Governing Board of the Derivatives Segment of the Bombay Stock Exchange.
He is a Fellow of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance and holds a Masters of Commerce from University of Agra.
