Fortis Healthcare slips into red at Rs 14 cr

Fortis Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in India, posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 14.31 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year as compared to a net profit of Rs 7.55 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Total income from operations, however, surged to Rs 334.25 crore in the Q1, 2011 from Rs 182.77 crore from the same period previous year.

On the standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 27.63 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year as against a net loss of Rs 1.56 crore in the same period last year.

 

Total income from operation, however, jumped to Rs 59.33 crore from Rs 48.59 crore in the period under consideration.
