"Our plan for this fiscal is to consolidate our business. We are going to open three new hospitals in the next 12 months," Fortis Healthcare Ltd Executive Chairman Malvinder Mohan Singh told PTI on the sidelines of the 'The Economist's India Summit' here.
He added that the first hospital would be opened in Gurgaon during the first week of May, followed by two greenfield hospitals at Ludhiana and Chennai.
"The Ludhiana hospital will come first and will be followed by Chennai hospital," Singh said.
He, however, did not share details about the number of beds in the new hospitals.
When asked about the company's debt equity ratio, he said: "Our debt equity ratio is 0.6 and we are comfortable with it. Going forward our focus will be the Indian market".
