Fostering Technologies in Rural Areas (Fostera), a rural BPO initiative, has bagged an order from US-based Novus STS Worldwide to provide recruitment process outsourcing.

Under this, Fostera would shortlist candidates from job and non-job portals like alumni websites, ex-employee association websites and even blogs for Novus.

The company would initially take up non-voice based works, and after six months go for voice works, said MR Ashok Kumar, chief executive officer of Fostera.

Each candidate in Fostera will go through a two-week training programme from Novus.

To start with Novus would offer jobs for 20-25 seats.

Speaking about the cost advantage for the clients back in US, Seshadri said the same job in the US would cost $30-40 per resume/per hour whereas in India it was $6-8.
