Canada’s diversified natural resource company, Sherritt International Corporation, has selected Hyderabad-based Four Soft Limited’s integrated logistics management system (ILMS) '4S Visllog Plus' to be implemented across its multiple locations.
4S Visllog Plus is a fully-integrated web-based solution that provides shippers, consignees and their logistics companies with full visibility across the extended supply chain from customer order through delivery of goods. The solution has in-built business integration system that provides connectivity with other ERP systems.
“We believe our domain knowledge and experience in implementing integrated logistics management systems with leading shippers and manufacturers and our strong ILMS solution will provide superior results for Sherritt and its customers. With this implementation, Sherritt will have a powerful tool to support the rapid expansion of their operations,” Rajsekhar Roy, chief executive of Four Soft, stated in a press release on Wednesday.
Sherritt, which produces nickel, cobalt, thermal coal, oil and gas, and electricity, licenses its proprietary technologies to other metals companies. The company is the world leader in the production of nickel from lateritic ore, with operations in Cuba and Canada, and a new project under development in Madagascar. With nice surface mines, Sherritt is the largest thermal coal producer in Canada, and is developing Canada’s first coal gasification project, the release added.
