Fratelli Wines plans to enter Goa, southern states

The company sells wines in Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Punjab

Fratelli Wines today said it aims to enter new markets, including Kerala, Goa and Karnataka, by September this year as part of its plans to strengthen footprint in India.

"Fratelli Wines aims to strengthen its foothold by entering Goa, Puducherry, Haryana, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala by the end of first half of the financial year," Fratelli Wines said in a statement.

The Delhi-headquartered firm has also earmarked an investment of Rs 2 crore to increase distribution network and brand portfolio by the second quarter of the current fiscal, it added.

"... We intend to make an investment of about Rs 2 crore in the current financial year and reach an installed capacity of 80,000 cases soon, and thus create a firm footing as the lead wine maker in the Indian wine market," Fratelli Wines Director and Co-Promoter Kapil Sekhri said.

The company, at present, sells wines in various markets including Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Punjab.

Fratelli Wines is also looking to launch a premium brand--Sette by the second quarter of the year followed by the introduction of sparkling and Rose labels by end of third quarter of 2012-13.
