The South Central Railway (SCR) would soon enter into a fresh MoU with private partners for the execution of Phase-II multi-modal transport system works in the city.
PK Srivastava, general manager of SCR, said "due to some contractual differences from a JV partner involved in the project, we decided to go for a fresh MoU."
He said there would not be any escalation in the project cost, and added, they had talks with GMR and Tata Projects and would soon sign an MoU them for the project.

Kalindee Rail Nirman and UK-based Balfour Beatty had bagged the contractual works from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) in a joint venture for executing the Rs 819 crore urban transport project.
The initial phase works amount to Rs 389 crore. These include quadrupling of tracks for sections between Ghatkesar and Moula Ali and patch-doubling of track between Moula Ali and Sithaphalmandi, restoration of track between Tellapur-Ramachandrapuram; and doubling between Bollarum-Medchal.
