Microsoft Accelerator in Bengaluru has come out with an ecosystem report ranking 151 B2B (business-to-business) and B2B2C (business-to-business-to-consumer) start-ups in India. The ranking is based on an 'enterprise readiness score' assigned to each of the start-ups, which were selected out of a pool of over 500 enterprise-focused start-ups.
The score is derived from three parameters: customer traction, funding velocity (taking into account both the total funds and number of rounds), and size of the company.
Freshdesk
Freshdesk, the SaaS star from Chennai, is among four start-ups in the table with perfect scores. Not surprising, as this global leader in customer engagement software takes on Salesforce with a new product called Freshsales.

Its co-founder, Aneesh Reddy, is also an active mentor in the product start-up ecosystem. Its entire founding team is from one of India’s premier engineering colleges, IIT Kharagpur, which has spawned a remarkable number of successful start-ups.
