Future Group eyes Rs 700 cr sales from shopping festival

At a times when the economy is reeling under economic pressure, the Future Group today said it is aiming to rake in a total sales of around Rs 700 crore and two crore shoppers at its 23-day nationwide shopping festival from December 13- January 4.

"We have planned 'The Great Indian Shopping Festival' on the lines of such overseas fairs. This is a combination of offers on 1,000 brands and formats controlled by the group," company Head Operations (east) Pantaloons Sandeep Marwaha said here.

Marwaha who was not ready to accept that the marketing push was organised to stem the slowdown said, "We have not yet felt any impact of the economic crisis on sales. We want this to be an annual event if we get success."

 

The company said it would offer Rs 15 crore in prizes and gifts.

The group has decided to bring a common identification of a golden bird, 'sone ka chiriya', in all brands controlled by the group.

Future Group has various brands across fashion, entertainment and electronics segments.
