Gail FY07 consolidated net up 4% at Rs 2,439cr

Gail India has posted a 4.3% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,545.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 (FY07) when compared with Rs 2,439.05 crore in FY06.

According to a release issued by the company to BSE today, total income for the fiscal increased to Rs 17,101.41 crore from Rs 15,341.78 crore in FY06.

On a standalone basis, the company posted a 3.3% increase in net profit at Rs 2,386.67 crore in FY07 as against Rs 2,310.07 crore in FY06. Total income also went up to Rs 16,592.13 crore from Rs 14,914.95 crore in FY06.

For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 (Q4FY07), the company posted a 66.3% increase in net profit at Rs 680.73 crore as compared to Rs 409.26 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 (Q4FY06). Total income increased to Rs 3996.3 crore from Rs 3744.22 crore in Q4FY06.
