State-run gas firm GAIL (India) Ltd on Monday announced a 35.22 per cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 886.88 crore, compared with Rs 655.84 crore for the same quarter last year.
Total Income for the quarter increased 17.07 per cent to Rs 7,163.5 crore from Rs 6,119.07 crore in the year-ago period.
Earnings per share for the quarter ended June 30 increased to Rs 6.99 from Rs 5.17 in the same quarter last year.
At 2:57 IST, GAIL shares were trading up 1.78 per cent at Rs 446 on Monday on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
