Gammon consortium bags orders worth Rs1221cr

A consortium comprising Gammon India and its sudsidiary Gammon Infrastructure Projects has been awarded the Kosi river bridge project and the Gorakhpur bypass project by National Highways Authority of India. The total cost of the two projects is estimated at Rs 1,080 crore.

According to an official release issued to the BSE today, the company's consortium Somagec SA - Drapor SA, has been awarded a euro 25.20 million (about Rs 141 crore) project for construction of a new container terminal including dredging and back-fill at Dakar Port, Senegal.

The projects in India are on annuity basis and are a part of the east-west corridor of National Highways Development Project (NHDP) - Phase II, with each having a concession period of 20 years.
