Gammon group firms to supply power equipment to KVK Energy

Gammon India group companies Ansaldo Caldaie Boiler and Franco Tosi today said they have received an order to supply power equipment for the 300 MW Nagapattnam project of KVK Energy.

The scope of work includes designing, manufacturing, supplying, erecting and supervising of boiler turbine generator (BTG) package of first unit of 2X150 MW thermal power project of KVK Energy & Infrastructure Limited, a company statement said.

However, the companies did not disclose the financial details of the supply order.

The steam turbine and boiler will be designed and manufactured by FrancoTosi and Ansaldo. Balance work of BTG package will be undertaken by Gammon EPC Power Division in India.

Gammon India took over majority stakes in Ansaldo Caldaie and Franco Tosi Meccanica, Italy in 2008 and is setting up Indian subsidiaries to meet growing demand in the Indian power sector.

Gammon India has the capability to support over 70 per cent input requirement from its own internal resources both in thermal and hydro sector respectively.
