Gayatri Projects Q4 profit dips 51%
 
Gayatri Projects witnessed a 51 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 3.16 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared with Rs 6.5 crore during the same period a year ago. The company's turnover grew by 38.95 per cent to Rs 165.99 crore against Rs 119.46 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
Priyadarshini Spinning net dips
 
Hyderabad-based Priyadarshini Spinning Mills reported a net profit of Rs 56 lakh for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, down 5 per cent compared with Rs 59 lakh in the corresponding quarter last year. The company's income from operations, however, grew by 39 per cent at Rs 54.09 crore from Rs 38.89 crore in the corresponding quarter.
 
Triveni Q4 net down 86 per cent
 
Triveni Engineering and Industries, a leading sugar producer, has posted a 86 per cent drop in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, following the crash in the domestic sugar prices. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 5.6 crore against Rs 39.10 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter rose by 6.6 per cent to Rs 364.48 crore.
