Geojit BNP Paribas Q4 net at Rs 7 cr

Leading brokerage firm Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services today announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 7.07 crore in March quarter, against Rs 10.93 crore loss in the same period last fiscal.

Its consolidated net income increased to Rs 62.09 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 43.74 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, Geojit BNP Paribas said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

For the year ended March 31, 2010, consolidated net profit rose to Rs 45.76 crore from Rs 40.02 crore last year.

Consolidated net income of the company jumped up to Rs 278.59 crore in the year under review from Rs 173.60 crore during the last fiscal. For the fourth quarter ended March 31, standalone net profit rose to Rs 8.14 crore from Rs 1.56 crore in the same period previous year.

 

Standalone net income jumped up to Rs 55.80 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 34.09 crore during the same period last fiscal.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 41.70, down 3.25 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
