Germany's engineering consulting firm Triplan is setting up its shop in India to offer its engineering services to Indian customers mostly to sectors like automobile, chemical, refining, life sciences and food & beverages industry.
With the initial investment of Rs 4 crore, company will set up an engineering center in Pune to cater to chemical, refining, life sciences and food & beverages industry. Initially it will recruit 40 to 50 engineering professionals and will do substantial addition in next two years.
It also intends to remain a multi center organization and intends to set up offices in other parts of India.

This entity will cater to the local projects in India and also Triplan's customers in Europe who intend to invest in India. Triplan has already executed three projects in India.
Commenting on this, Peter Stromberger, CEO, Triplan said, " This is the line with our strategy to offer technology, increase our footprints globally and extent our work model of follow the customer. After successful delivery of projects in India in the past, this is another strategic move towards more business in the country."
Pune based Neilsoft has partnered with Triplan in the industrial projects space to service the India market bringing in higher levels of expertise, experience, and value to our industrial project clients.
Also, it is introducing its patented closed coke slurry system (CCSS) for handling. This will be operational in the next six months.
This system contains patented proprietary equipment which handles the pet coke in closed manner as compared to present open system used by all refineries.
It helps to eliminate the pollution caused by the delayed coker units. It also reduces the water consumption of delayed coker by 15 per cent and the cost of maintenance is also reduced. According to Triplan, the system is operating in refineries jointly owned by Shel, BP, ESSO, Conoco Philips & Rosnesft in Germany.
Sunil Kulkarni, managing director,Triplan India, said, “The Indian Industry was in need of such a combination that will have European experience and local presence and which meets their end to end requirements starting from process technology to detailed engineering & execution of the projects. Our international projects particularly the Middle East & South East Asia shall be supported by the Indian subsidiary.”
