Gestetner Lines Up Vrs In Recast Move

Document solutions (photocopier) major Gestetner is restructuring its Indian arm Gestetner India by trimming employee strength through a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS).

Gestetner India informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that it has announced a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for all employees of the company, excluding the directors.

The scheme covers all grades of employees, including workers, duplicator technicians, clerical and administrative staff, sub-ordinate and supervisor workers of the Kolkata factory, branch and regional offices of the company.

The scheme will commence from June 9, 2003, and remain open up to June 24, 2003.

The plan was approved by the company
