| GHCL appoints Edelweiss to rejig biz units |

| GHCL has retained the services of Edelweiss Capital to evaluate the various models for restructuring the core businesses of soda ash and home textiles keeping in view the future growth plans of the company. According to a release issued by GHCL to the BSE today, the company is also looking at this exercise from the point of view of enhancement and unlocking of strong shareholder value. "With the vision to be a global leader in soda ash and home textiles, the company has already consolidated its position by acquiring soda ash assets in Romania and home textile distribution and retail businesses in USA and UK apart from organic growth in India. The company has also seen significant growth in its global revenues. "Consequent to the above, a need is being felt for evaluating the corporate and legal structure of its core businesses and to align it with its emerging business realities.
