GHCL unit buys US firm Baker Linen for $6.75mn

Dan River Inc, a step down subsidiary of GHCL, has acquired the assets of H W Baker Linen Company through a competitive bidding process for $6.75mn.

According to a release issued by GHCL to the BSE today, Baker has a turnover of $70 million, and is a leading supplier of textile products to leading hotels and motels.

"The acquisition will strengthen the existing position of Dan River Inc in the sales to the institutional segment of home textiles," the release added.
