GIPC places Rs 1,199cr order with BHEL

Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPC) has awarded the EPC contract for its 2x125 MW expansion project at its Surat lignite power plant to Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) on March 29, 2006 at a cost of Rs 1,199.50 crore. This was announced in a release issued by Gujarat Industries Power to the BSE today.
