The value of Gitanjali Gems’ four leading diamond jewellery brands — Gili, Nakshatra, Asmi and D’Damas — rose 84 per cent in the last two years due to tightening loopholes as suggested by UK-based valuer Brand Finance Plc. The overall corporate brand value of the company was estimated at Rs 5,584 crore.
The four leading brands were in 2009 valued accumulatively at Rs 1,502 crore, which has today risen to Rs 2,769 crore. Gili and Nakshatra surpassed the benchmark of Rs 1,000 crore on a drastic shift in consumer preferences, coupled with extended reach in tier II and tier III cities.
