Gitanjali to sponsor ICL's Koltaka Tigers

Revv, the men's jewellery brand of the Gitanjali Group, has acquired the sponsorship rights of the Kolkata Tigers team of the Indian Cricket League (ICL).

Adri Voorn, executive director, Gitanjali Gems, said: "Gitanjali Group would like to be at the heart of young India. Cricket in India is more than a sport. It has a cult status, we are glad to be associated with this magnificent game that is the singular most unifying force in a diverse country like India."

Kiran More, executive board member, Indian Cricket League (ICL), said, "The tigers boasts of some of the most exciting young cricketers in the country, and a sponsorship backing from an organization like Gitanjali Group will go a long way in boosting the morale of these young men."

Kolkata Tigers is led by Craig Macmillan, and the team includes Rohan Gavaskar, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, Lance Klusner, Deep Dasgupta, Andre Adams, Nantie Hayward, Upul Chandana and Eklak Ahmid.
