GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare posted a 18.43 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 32.58 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 2008, compared to Rs 27.51 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income grew 17 per cent to Rs 343.56 crore during the quarter, from Rs 294.29 crore in the same period last year.
Zydus Cadila PAT up by 17%
Ahmedabad: Zydus Cadila has posted a net profit growth of 17 per cent in the quarter ended December 2008. Cadila’s PAT stood at Rs 61 crore, compared to Rs 52 crore during the corresponding period last year.
This was after providing for the exchange rate fluctuation loss of Rs 11 crore on conversion of foreign currency loans during the quarter, vis-à-vis gain of Rs 6 crores during the same period last year.
