Drug maker Glenmark Pharmaceuticals today said its consolidated net profit grew 15.52 per cent to Rs 94.07 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009, over the corresponding period a year ago.
The group had a consolidated net profit of Rs 81.43 crore in the same period last fiscal, Glenmark said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Consolidated total income of the group increased to Rs 648.34 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 582.74 crore in the same period last fiscal.
For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2009, consolidated net profit fell to Rs 228.41 crore from Rs 314.16 crore in the same period previous year.
Consolidated total income rose to Rs 1,799.57 crore in the nine-month period under review from Rs 1,605.77 crore during the same time last fiscal.
The company's standalone net profit jumped up to Rs 37.48 crore for the third quarter compared to Rs 36.91 crore for the same period previous year, it said.

Standalone total income climbed up to Rs 277.14 crore for the December quarter from Rs 244.55 crore for the same period previous fiscal.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 242.15, down 0.55 per cent from previous close on the BSE.
