Switzerland-based beverages company, Capri-Sun, has entered the Indian market by tying up with SDU Beverages, to produce and market its fruit juices for kids. To start with, Capri-Sun juices would be marketed in nine cities. Capri-Sun has made available its juices in four flavours -- mango, orange, apple, mixed fruit . Priced at Rs 20, they come in pouches and have a shelf-life of nine months.
"With our licence partner (SDU Beverages), we have the opportunity to spread the fun and taste of our product in the Indian market where there is a significant population under 15 years of age," said Carsten Kaisig, chief executive officer of Capri-Sun, which has a revenue of $2 billion from its operations globally. SDU Beverages has set up a manufacturing unit at Medak near Hyderabad, with an investment of Rs 40-50 crore.
