General Motors India has sold 4,542 cars in March 2007 - its highest-ever monthly volume since inception - an increase of 12% when compared with 4,070 units sold in March 2006. March 2007 sales numbers include Chevrolet Tavera 2,175 units, Chevrolet Optra 426 units and the Chevrolet Aveo 1,941 units. GM India has sold 11,405 vehicles in the first quarter of 2007 registering a growth of 36% from 8,371 units sold in the corresponding period last year. P. Balendran, vice president, GM India said: "We are very pleased to see such a robust growth for all our carlines under the Chevrolet brand. We believe these world-class products will further propel the Chevrolet Indian Revolution in the automobile market." |
