City-based GMR Infrastructure yesterday said its first-quarter net profit rose 26.2 per cent over the corresponding period last year, due to sound business growth in road and airport segments. Net profit for the June quarter advanced to Rs 28.4 crore, from Rs 22.5 crore.
As GMR Energy — the flagship energy arm, which contributes nearly 50 per cent to GMR Infra’s top line — was hit by a seven per cent drop in net revenue, GMR Infra posted a modest 4.6 per cent rise in top line at Rs 1,231.3 crore.
