GNFC profit doubles to Rs 124 crore

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company today said its net profit more than doubled to Rs 123.76 crore in the third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2007 as against Rs 52.19 crore in the year ago period.
 
The total income stood increased to Rs 837.36 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 538.64 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company informed the BSE.
 
The latest quarter numbers included the figures of Narmada Chematur Petrochemicals, a subsidiary of the company, which was amalgamated with the company with effect from February 15 and hence the results of the quarter are not comparable with that of last year's.
