GNFC Q4 net zooms 168%

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company (GNFC) has posted a 168% surge in net profit at Rs 93.41 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 34.82 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Total income (net of excise) has increased from 373.71 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 547.44 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

The Company has registered a 92% jump in its net profit at Rs 224.02 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 116.91 crore in FY04. Total revenue (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1,496.26 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1,865.34 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

The Group has reported a 99% spurt in net profit after Minority interest at Rs 240.52 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 121.05 crore in FY04. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1,697 crore in FY-04 to Rs 2,186.16 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to a release issued by GNFC to the BSE, the Board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 3.75/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each, (37.50%) for the year ended March 31, 2005.
