GPL to develop residential housing project in Pune

The project, spread over 31 acres, will offer about 1.5 mn sq ft of saleable area and will comprise of 1, 2 and 3 BHK apartments

Mumbai based real estate developer Godrej Properties Limited (GPL), the real estate development arm of the Godrej Group, will develop a residential housing project at Undri (near NIBM) in Pune, company said in a statement.

The project, spread over 31 acres, will offer approximately 1.5million sq. ft of saleable area and will comprise of 1, 2 and 3 BHK apartments.

However, the company has not disclosed its JV partner who is a local developer from Pune. Also, Godrej has not invested directly into the land.

Commenting on this, Pirojsha Godrej, managing director and CEO, Godrej Properties said “ GPL has built a number of landmark properties in Pune over the years including Godrej Eternia, Godrej Castlemaine, Godrej Millennium and Godrej Sherwood. Godrej Horizon, our current residential project, is also located in Undri. This project will offer contemporary, environmentally friendly living spaces and will help to grow our presence in Pune.”
