Godrej Security Equipment Division to launch new products

Godrej Security Equipment Division(GSED), a flagship company of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company, is planning to launch a new range of security products for hospitals, airports and retail chains.

Speaking to reporters in Chennai, after launching new security products and solution services  -- perimeter security systems, banking automation systems and remote surveillance systems -- Dara Byramjee, vice-president and business head, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company said that of the total turn over South contributes 30 to 32 per cent of the total business, of which Tamil Nadu contributes 12 per cent .

On the overseas business, he said, currently GSED's products are sold in 40 countries, by end of this year will enter into 10 more countries. Last year export business was Rs 40 crore. Company's last year turn over was Rs 300 crore. The company had set a target of Rs 1,000 crore turn-over for 2011-12.

 

While about 70 per cent of the sales of GSED contributed by the banking sector, company is now looking at hospitals, educations institutes, airports, temples SEZs and retail segments. Company is also focussing on other segments including electronic security equipments, Byramjee said.
