Goodyear India Q2 net up 13% at Rs 29 cr

The company had posted net profit of Rs 25.62 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal

Tyre maker Goodyear India today reported 12.84 % increase in net profit to Rs 28.91 crore for the second quarter ended on June 30.

The company had posted net profit of Rs 25.62 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, Goodyear India said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales during the April-June quarter increased marginally by 2.55 % to Rs 432.61 crore from Rs 421.82 crore in the same quarter of last fiscal.

Overall expenses during the quarter were at Rs 395.19 crore, as against Rs 388.46 crore in the year-ago period.

The Goodyear scrip was trading at Rs 563, up 2.44 % from its previous close on the BSE.
