RMAX, the rural managers' association of XIMB today launched its flagship event Gramotsava. The three day long extravaganza will include two day marketing fair at the haats of Begunia and Salepur on October 5 and 6 respectively, where in the products and services of the sponsored organisations will be promoted in the rural market.
The launch also witnessed the unveiling of the official banner of Gramotsava-2013 and the new avatar of official mascot Bonnie Bhaina, an Olive Bridley Turtle. The first edition of the annual magazine on rural management Dhwani' was also launched at the event.
This year the association will be promoting the products of Mahindra 2 wheelers, Godrej Agrovet, Spring health, IFFCO, Paragati Handicrafts and Mahindra finance.
Started in 2006, the event has attracted activation participation from firms like Aircel, Herohonda, ITC, Cavinkare, Paradeep Phosphates Limited, Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra and Mahindra, Piaggio, Britannia, Life Insurance Company of India, ICICI Lombard, Unicef, etc. "The core aim of the RMAX is to expand the learning potential of the students of rural management. It offers the students a platform to apply the theoretical concept to the practical domain of the rural marketing worlds", read an official release.
