Grasim Industries Q2 net up 109%

Grasim Industries today reported a consolidated net profit increase of 108.72% at Rs 418.33 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006 when compared with Rs 200.42 crore in Q2FY06.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased by 35.55% to Rs 3237.24 crore from Rs 2388.13 crore in Q2FY06.

The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a net profit of Rs 337.84  crore in Q2FY07 as against Rs 187.65 crore in Q2FY06. Total income increased to Rs 2061.04 crore from Rs 1680.04 crore in Q2FY06.
