Greenply Ind to acquire Singapore firm

Leading plywood manufacturer Greenply Industries will acquire Singapore-based GIL International as a wholly owned subsidiary, according to an official release issued by Greenply to the BSE today.

The board of the company approved the acquisition proposal at its meeting held today, the release said.

A proposal to enhance production capacity at the company's laminate unit in Behror, Rajasthan by 33% or to set up a new unit of laminate, was also considered at the meeting, the release added.
