GSK Consumer Chairman Simon Scarff to step down

Resignation with effect from April 30

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare Ltd today said its Chairman, Simon Scarff, has expressed his wish to step from April 30, 2013.

"..Simon Scarff, Chairman of the board of directors, has expressed his desire to step down as the Chairman of the company with effect from close of business hours on April 30, 2013," GSK Consumer Healthcare said in a filing to the BSE.

Scarff's expressed the desire during the company's board meeting held today.

The company markets various brands in India including Horlics and Crocin.

Headquartered in UK, GSK has over 10 million employees worldwide, including 35 thousand employees at 85 manufacturing facilities across the globe.
 

GSK Consumer Healthcare scrip was trading at Rs 4,080.05 on the BSE late afternoon, down 2.65 per cent from its previous close.
