GSM subscriber base up 2.29% in Nov

The GSM cellular subscriber base in Gujarat grew by 2.29 per cent in November to 25,75,243 from 25,17,493 in October.
 
Hutch, the leading cellular service provider in the state, crossed the 11 lakh subscriber mark in Gujarat in the month.
 
The company's subscriber base grew from 10,94,874 in October to 11,24,967, a rise of over 30,000 subscribers, according to the Cellular Operator Association of India (COAI).
 
The base of Idea Cellular grew from 5,32,481 at the end of October to 5,49,774, a rise of about 18,000.
 
The subscribers of Bharti Cellular looked up from 3,69,813 in October to 3,79,997 in November, a rise of over 10,000.
 
The subscriber base of Bharat Sanchar Nigam jumped up marginally from 5,20,325 to 5,20,505, according to COAI figures.
 
The rise was because of BSNL's addition of 13.5 lakh connections in its Gujarat circle.
