The board of directors of Gujarat Ambuja Exports, which met on September 9, 2006, approved expansion plans totalling Rs 311 crore. According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the meeting approved a proposal for setting up a new maize processing unit with 500 TPD capacity at Uttranchal at a cost of Rs 90 crore. The meeting also approved a proposla to set up a cotton yarn spinning unit with 30,000 spindles at Rs 90 crore, and a captive power plant of 12 MW capacity for Rs 35 crore. The board approved another project of maize processing with 500 TPD capacity with the facility to produce ENA and Ethanol at Nasik at a total project cost of Rs 96 crore, the release added. |
