Gujarat-based Ajanta Electronic Company will soon launch its new range of electrical fittings like modular switches, cables, and switch insulators in northern states.

Regional Manager Parag Kathrotiya said the marketing of the products would be done with the support of the 300-strong dealer network in the region. Kathrotiya said, "Our standardised products have great potential within and outside the country."

He said under the brand names "Ajanta" and "Orpat", the company manufactured telephones, time pieces, wall clocks, calculators, educational toys, home appliances, blenders, irons, semi-toasters and fans.

Kathrotiya said Orpat energy-saving lamps were largest-selling products of the company, in which a customer could save up to 80 per cent on electricity. He said 115,000 compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) were being manufactured every quarter.
