Gujarat Pipavav Port posted a 60 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 60 crore for the June quarter, on the back of lower expenses, against Rs 37 crore in the corresponding period last year.

However, net sales decreased to Rs 155 crore, against Rs 172 crore in the year-ago period.
 
The company's expenses during the quarter declined to Rs 92.06 crore over Rs 110.05 crore in the corresponding period of FY16.
