IT giant Microsoft India’s cloud solutions such as Office 365 and Azure seem to be finding many takers from among Gujarat-based small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Out of the total 100 SME clients that Microsoft added through its partner Bitscape Infotech, about 90 were from Gujarat.
“In recent times, we added 100 SME clients, of which 90 were from Gujarat for Microsoft’s Office 365 adoption,” said Kartik Shah, CEO and Managing Director, Bitscape Infotech, adding that SMEs in Gujarat are exhibiting growing acceptance for cloud-based solutions.
Confirming the same, Manisha Sood, Director - SMB, Microsoft India added that the company is moving towards mobile first, cloud first business ideology.
“Cloud is becoming a mainstream IT platform for businesses of all sizes. The cost advantages and benefits of cloud computing are so compelling that its adoption in India will continue to grow just as it is in the rest of the world. According to a study by IDC, channel partners selling cloud solutions experience nearly double gross profits, accrue new customers more than two times faster and generate 30 percent more revenue per employee. Microsoft’s success as a company depends on great partners, and Bitscape Infotech is a shining example of the kind of innovation our partner ecosystem drives year after year. Bitscape Infotech has developed a user-friendly implementation model for SMEs in India for delivering cloud services,” said Sood.
