Gulf Oil to build IT park near Bangalore

Hyderabad-based Gulf Oil Corporation, a Hinduja group company, has received approval from the Karnataka Udyog Mitra to build a mixed use information technology park on its 40-acre plot at Yellahanka.
 
The park will also house hotels/service apartments, retail space, multiplexes and other facilities.
 
The approved master plan, prepared by the Indian arm of Singaporean architects, RSP Architect Planners and Engineers, is for a total area of 5 million square feet.
 
The facility is situated 7 kms from the new Bangalore International Airport on the Bangalore-Hyderabad national highway (NH-7).
 
The company said that the park will provide all facilities needed by players in the knowledge industry. The supporting infrastructure for hospitality, shopping and entertainment will have an international ambience and a futuristic model.
 
The development of the park will be jointly undertaken by the company and Asia Properties Development, which is the Hinduja group's property arm.
 
Gulf Oil is also planning to develop a knowledge city at Hyderabad, spread over 100 acres. The necessary approvals are being sought from the Andhra Pradesh government.
